    artificial studs are tiny and are for grip on a mini soccer field such as the ones where you play on artificial grass. soft ground shoes studs are usually made out of metal and are longer than 3 inches they are for wet or muddy fields and they offer better traction. firm ground shoes are the basic all field type shoes. and hard ground shoes have small short studs similar to firm ground studs but hard ground studs are smaller in length they are used for hard grounds such as pavement or turf also.
