what is a good OL/DL cleat that is used on play turf?
Posted under Soccer Turf Cleats
I was looking into detachable or molded cleats but whats the difference. I need a cleat that will work on play turf. Are all football cleats good on all types of grass. (i dont think so) so would detachable cleats be the way to go?

a cleat with good grip on the front of the foot is best, if your on your heels, your in trouble.
I would go with detachable, while all leagues have limits, with the detachable, you can get different lengths for different conditions and away fields.
Also, I assume you mean that you are playing the new field turf stuff. some places still have that lousy hard as a rock astroturf, if thats the case, you dont want cleats at all, just a turf shoe.

Any cleat with high ankles made for turf will be fine.

Molded cleats are good any where… Detachables are mainly natural grass cleats and just are not lineman cleats anyways… You want traction not speed… If you play on Astroturf you need straight turf shoes… but if you play of the grassy turfs you wanna go with molded….
look at the Nike sharks… those have great traction and aren’t too pricey
(and the guy above that said you want grip on the front of your cleats is talking about more speed positions…. your a lineman and you want all the traction you can get to stay on your feet and not your ass)

a hightop cleat with long rubber spikes to give you a good grip on the turf since when your on a the line you will usually be standing with your shoes at an angle
