I’m playing in a flag football league and they don’t allow cleats or spikes (metal or rubber). Is there a brand or type of shoe that comes close, like with really great traction? The closest thing i’m finding are Turf Shoes.
I have a nice pair of indoor shoes because I’ll be playing indoor soon and I was wondering if I could use them on turf because I’ll be practicing on a turf field. Is that ok? I don’t really want to use cleats, but if that would be better then should I?
I don’t want to buy turf shoes, and the practice is mainly for fun.

I need new basketball shoes but really can’t find anything wide enough for lower than . I found a great price on New Balance turf shoes and they look like they could work for basketball. New Balance is great for sneakers for me because they have wide sizes available.

I ordered the nike mercurial victory turf shoes and I figured they would be like the adidas samba shoes but now that Im looking into it, they seem like more of a cleat. does anyone know if they could used as an everyday shoe/sneaker?

My high school football field has astroturf instead of real natural grass. Does anyone know if I should buy detachable or molded cleats (no turf shoes) and why? I just want to know which type of cleat would give me better traction on an astroturf field.
hi i normally just practice kicking my football i do punts and place kicking and i practice outside on the concrete. are nike5 T-3 CT good for playing on the concrete i know they are turf shoes so im not really sure. i have soccer cleats for the field i go there on the weekends but practice on concrete ont he weekdays.

I’m playing soccer and got horrible cleats, so now my heel hurts bad and I think its plantar faciitis. How long will I have it for? I got shoes with better arch (turf shoes), insoles, Aleve, stretches, and I iced it and bandaged it. When will it go away? I have conditioning in two days!
So i’m getting ready to go to a desert environment for a year (deploying to Iraq). Is there any type of soccer shoe that works good in the hard dirt? I was at first thinking turf shoes, but have second guessed myself. I don’t think my Indoor shoes will help because I’ll just be slipping around like I was on ice. None the less I want to stay competative with my game and I am going to be needing some decent shoes. Any advise?

And, actually, I’ve played since I was 5. I’ve just never had more than a ball, shin guards, socks, and cleats. My family isn’t into it either so I really have no idea.
As for the laces, I asked because the laces on my cleats that I’ve had for 2 years are beat up and I can hardly keep them tied anymore.
This list is for all 4 years of soccer at my highschool – this is my first time playing for a really competitive team.

im joining the girls flag football this summer. i bought some cleats but they are not very comfortable on my ankles, i looked at a few turf shoes and they seem better. will they work good for girls flag football? we play outside on grass or soccer fields. any help is greatly appreciated! thanks!!!
My home football stadium is turf and I practice on it almost every day but Not every stadium in the city is the same surface. So should I buy turf shoes or cleats? What is wearing turf shoes like compared to cleats?
I have a pair of adidas telstar trx turf shoes……they are for turf and hard ground, but will it wear down the bottom peg things if i use them for indoor soccer(carpet-like ground)?
I will be playing indoor soccer on artificial turf grass.
But I will be practicing in a gym, on the basketball court that has wooden floors. What will give me better grip in the gym on the wood floors?
I think both should work well on the turf, but i need to know what will work in the gym because I currently have Adidas Samba shoes and they are slippery on the wooden floor.
So should I get Turf (little rubber studs) or indoor (flat sole) soccer shoes?
My preference would be the turf shoes with little rubber studs since they probably provide better traction on the turf, as long as they are not slippery in the gym wood floors.

I am thinking about getting the adidas adi5 X shoes but they say running turf soccer shoes. I am wondering if they would work alright on pavement, indoors, etc. or should they only be used on turf? I play a lot of soccer, but I have never gotten into turf cleats. Has anyone used turf shoes for regular old tennis shoes? Thanks!
