Those are not soccer shoes, those are just meant for casual walking. During soccer practice you should not run in those either, get some turf cleats or plain running shoes. Those casual shoes -- trust me they aren't good for running at all. You will wind up injured if you continue to run on them in soccer practice.

I assume you play soccer for your college? Either way you should just a new pair of running shoes if you are serious about getting your training in. Bite the bullet, you might be short money now but at least you'll still be in shape and not have to lose all that you've worked for.

Also Matt C is right the shox are not good for running. However there are Nike's that are great for running. The Stucture Triax is a fine shoe that fits most running types (Pronation). Most pro's use the non-shox nike trainers to train for running. That can back their legitimacy up.

I would say no. They don't provide the support you need for serious running. You could get away with it, but your feet and shins might hurt a bit.

I'm sorry, I had to come back and criticize the Nike Shox. They are the most worthless pair of shoes, except maybe those Nike Frees, I think they're called. The Shox are just a marketing gimmick. The Shox fall apart so quickly and they just do not provide adequate support. Nike just can't make a good running shoe anymore. This comes from my personal experience as a runner and from the experience of my teammates. If you want a good running shoe, try Asics.

Cheers Brian and I suppose there are some good Nikes out there, I'm just very biased towards what i put on my feet.

hmm no, those shoes have no arch support.

But i don't think it would kill you to run in them esp. since you already run in them for soccer, u should be fine

Good luck!!

it depends on how far you plan on running -- they should be ok for a mile or two but i wouldn't try to do any real distance in them .
