Liverpool’s captain was arrested in a club in Southport after he and 5 other persons got involved into a fight in the neighborhood where Gerrard grow up. All 6 of them attacked a 34 years old guy, provoking several wounds on his face. Police arrested them under the accusation of aggression. Liverpool’s officials prefer not to comment so far about the incident. Gerrard just had a great game against Newcastle when he scored twice.

What kind of soccer shoes are good for Bermuda pitch?

Posted under Uncategorized

I'm going to be playing soccer and I need to know if turf boots are good or if I should get some regular cleats.

I'll be playing on a Bermuda pitch.

Thanks.

Just get regular cleats. Cleats are made too play on any surface (except indoors) and are generally good for any type of grass or turf. Don't worry about buying special shoes. Cleats are the generic soccer boots and will suit any type of terrain except for indoor soccer.

Which kind of Soccer Shoes should I buy?

Posted under Uncategorized

I am joining a soccer Team for my school and i was trying to buy my soccer shoes online but i have to choose between

Firmground / molded cleats
Softground
Indoor/Futsal
Turf

We use the football field at our school which is a turf but when we play away we might play at grass field. Which shoes would be the best.

***** please explain and tell me the website where i could find the shoes ( if u could)

Thanks

SG – Soft Ground, good for wet, muddy fields
FG – Firm Ground, good for firm fields
HG – Hard Ground, good for hard fields
Every brand has many cleats for every field or preference.

Firm Ground cleats have molded studs and allows for good traction in both artificial fields and regular grass fields.

Hard Ground cleats, similar to Firm Ground cleats, have molded studs. However, the studs are shorter and wider which provides more traction in hard fields like artificial fields and helps minimize impact to your feet.

Soft Ground cleats are very different from Firm Ground and Hard Ground cleats because of their stud configuration. Soft Ground cleats have fewer and longer studs designed to provide maximum traction in wet or muddy fields. Also, most Soft Ground cleats have detachable studs and are easy to replace if the need arises.

I highly recommend not to use Indoor/Futsal cleats in the fields you mentioned. Indoor/Futsal cleats have no studs. These cleats are designed for hardwood or cement surfaces.

Turf cleats have rubber multi-studded outsoles designed to provide optimal ground penetration for maximum grip, larger surface area for greater acceleration. Again, I do no recommend Turf cleats for the fields you'll be playing in.

I use SG cleats on Firm Ground fields because I like the extra traction the longer studs provide. I'm a defender and I cannot afford to be slipping and falling when I'm facing agile forwards. The trick is to get used to the feel of the different stud configuration, because they do feel very different from FG and HG cleats. Plus when the SG studs wear out, you can always replace them with new studs without buying a new pair of cleats as opposed to FG and HG cleats that you have to buy new cleats when their studs wear out.

In your case, I recommend you buy Firm Ground cleats. They are the most versatile.

I have two excellent websites where you can find all you need.

Good desert terrain soccer shoes?

Posted under Uncategorized

So i'm getting ready to go to a desert environment for a year (deploying to Iraq). Is there any type of soccer shoe that works good in the hard dirt? I was at first thinking turf shoes, but have second guessed myself. I don't think my Indoor shoes will help because I'll just be slipping around like I was on ice. None the less I want to stay competative with my game and I am going to be needing some decent shoes. Any advise?

Can you golf in soccer cleats or turf shoes, not the ones with metal spikes, but hard rubber instead? I am…?

Posted under Uncategorized

..too cheap to spend 50 or more bucks on a real pair of golf shoes, since I only golf 1-2 times a year, but the soccer cleats they sell at Wal Mart look like they've got good bite to them, and they're $20.

I recommend just playing in running/tennis shoes or whatever. I always play in running shoes, and I swing hard, and I've never had a problem with slipping, even on wet grass. Unless you're really really good I guess, you don't really need to play in cleats at all.

Indoor soccer and turf shoes?

Posted under Uncategorized

I have a pair of adidas telstar trx turf shoes……they are for turf and hard ground, but will it wear down the bottom peg things if i use them for indoor soccer(carpet-like ground)?

Have no worries. I have had the same pair of very similar shoes and after playing probably about 80 indoor matches on carpet -turf, they are still absolutely fine.

Are indoor soccer shoes for futsal, or for winter soccer (on turf)?

Posted under Uncategorized

I have a pair of Puma Liga indoor soccer shoes for the turf in winter, but it looks more like for indoor gym soccer like futsal. I'd say they fall under the same category as the adidas sambas.

If they have flat soles on the bottom, then you can use them on both surfaces (turf and indoor). If they have small spikes, then you can only use them on turf.

indoor soccer shoes or turf soccer shoes?

Posted under Uncategorized

alrighty i want to buy some indoor soccer shoes. i used 2 have nike total 90's but they didn't hold up that great cause i wore em outside and stuff….so i like playing street soccer(on ashpalt and cement)….would the turf soccer shoes b better 4 ashpalt 4 holding up 2 street abuse? or would they be 2 slippery.

btw turf shoes r NOT CLEATS, they just have these little studs on the bottom….
ye but i play on the street so would they help me on the street?

Turf shoes on the street isn't a good idea.. they're not meant for that and they'll get trashed.

Check out these Kipstas, they're meant for street soccer.
