The Only Soccer Equipment You Will Ever Need

Posted under Soccer Turf Cleats, turf soccer shoes

Playing soccer without soccer equipment is akin to trying to bake a birthday cake without the ingredients. It’s pretty much impossible. However, as there are some people who don’t know what ingredients are needed to make a birthday cake, there are also people who don’t know what equipment is necessary to play soccer. This article will hopefully be able to resolve this confusion.

Just in case you didn’t know, there are 2 types of soccer equipment. There are game equipment and player equipment. I will discuss the topic of soccer equipment using these 2 categories.

The materials you need to train and play soccer is what is known as game equipment. Of all the materials, the soccer ball is by far the most important. It is the one piece of equipment you cannot do without for obvious reasons. Just remember that there are different sized balls for people of different ages.

The next most important piece of soccer equipment is the goals. It’s unlikely that you will be able to have access to metal goal posts every time you want to play. As a result, you should purchase cones and markers to mark out the goals. In addition, these are also useful in training drills such as dribbling.

Apart from game equipment, the other important category is what is known as player equipment. This usually refers to the players’ attire when they play soccer. By far, the most important piece of attire is the boots. They must be both comfortable and have studs underneath to improve your grip on the grass. If you were to play without studs, you would be falling and slipping on the pitch every minute. Hence, it is absolutely necessary. Keep in mind that your studs are not too sharp so that they pose a danger to other players when you tackle.

Shin guards are also very important pieces of player equipment because you certainly don’t want your shin to get kicked. You can be guaranteed that every time you walk on the pitch that your shin will come into physical contact, so you’re better off protecting it.

Apart from your boots and shin guards, you will normally need some type of uniform (shirt, shorts and socks). However, this type of soccer equipment is typically out of your control and is up to your team or club to decide the colors and the design. If there is no compulsory uniform, it’s best to wear clothing that is comfortable to run in.

Soccer is an exciting game that should be embraced by more and more people and the soccer equipment featured in this article is all you need to do just that.

These will include the soccer uniforms, the soccer balls, the shoes that you will be using – in short everything that is needed for a game of soccer. Now before you head over to you nearest sporting goods store you should find out what are the various items that you will need.

In many cases the soccer balls will be provided for you if you are playing in a soccer club or at school. For private games you will have to provide the soccer ball and make sure that you have spares just in case. You can buy high quality soccer balls from your local sports store if they are required. Now there is one type of soccer gear that you will want to look into. This is the various soccer bags that you can buy. From all of the soccer gear that you will see this bag will be very useful for you as you can store all of your soccer gear in here.

Posted under turf soccer shoes

There are so many different items that you can see for sale in the various sports stores. From all of these you will see many items that are needed for soccer. Most of these will be for playing the game but there will be a few that you might want to protect various parts of your body. The reason is that soccer is a close body contact game. Therefore during the game you can get hurt.

To prevent serious injury to your legs there are soccer shin guards that are used mainly to protect the area below the knee as this is the area that comes into contact with the shoes of other team players. Each of these shin guards are developed for all types of soccer. The way that the soccer shin guards works is by supporting your calf muscles as you run. To get this support the shin guards employ an ankle support that keeps the ankle strong while various soccer moves are being carried out. Meanwhile the front of the leg is protected by the faceplate of the soccer shin guards. These are made of a strong material that allows your leg to breathe as you are playing a very vigorous game of soccer.

There are many places where you can by your soccer shin guards. You will need to see if these soccer shin guards are comfortable for your legs. You must be able to perform all of your soccer moves without much trouble from these. The best place where you can try out the size of the shin guards is that of the local sporting stores. Here the sales personnel will be able to advise you about the best type of soccer shin guards that you can invest in. You can also buy your soccer shin guards from the internet but there is no guarantee that you will get the soccer shin guards that you want. So you should decide upon the quality of the soccer shin guards that you will be wearing in your soccer game.

History of Soccer

Posted under turf soccer shoes

The world that we live in has many different faces to it. These are marked by history and the events that took place at those times are recorded for people many generations down in time to able to know what happened. This is also true of soccer. Th history of soccer is however somewhat difficult to know as there is very little documentation or folk tales that are told about it.

We shall however try to piece this veil of history and inform you about all that is known about the history of soccer. So where shall we begin? The first place to begin is still unknown but there is evidence that some form of soccer was played more than 3000 year ago. We also have solid evidence that soccer was played in Japan sometime in 1004 BC. There is a historical text from china that informs us about a “soccer” game that was played between china and Japan.

So we now see that in the history of soccer matches were also played between two countries. Hey it looks like the mists of history are slowly lifting and we are beginning to see more of the modern game of soccer. Now besides these pieces of historical evidence we find that there is a mention about a soccer game being played in Kyoto which was the capital of Japan in 611 AD.

These are known to be the earliest recordings of soccer. Now we will move to England which is said to be the home of modern soccer. According to the history of soccer there were many kings and queens who regarded soccer as being a vulgar game. For this reason they tried many times to have the game banned and stiff penalties like imprisonment for playing the game enforced. This however did not work.

It is known that Eton College in England had designed some soccer rules around about 1815. These are regarded as the earliest signs of soccer being an organized game. Thereafter soccer was exported to other countries and it has evolved into the game that we all know about – to some degree. Today you will find soccer being played in many parts of the world.

Basic Soccer Equipment You Need to Have

Posted under turf soccer shoes

Do you have a loved one who is new to soccer? Are you wondering exactly what equipment they will need and how to pick it out? Here is the basic soccer equipment every player needs and a few tips for selecting the type that is right for you.

The most basic soccer equipment is the uniform. This is includes the jersey and shorts as well as shin guards, stockings, and footwear. The jersey, shorts, and stockings you will buy are usually dictated by the team, but decisions regarding the shin guards and footwear are usually left up to the player.

What should you look for in shin guards?

The material isn’t important as long as it is firm with a little flexibility. Make sure the shin guards are fitted, but have enough space to provide adequate protection. They should be made of a hard material that still has enough ‘give’ that the player can move freely. Because this piece of equipment protects your child’s physical well being, make sure they are high quality and capable of standing up to the rigors of the game.

Although there are no specific rules in most leagues regarding soccer footwear, soccer cleats are generally recommended over basic tennis shoes because they provide better traction on the grass and prevent slipping and falls. However, cleats are not a ‘must have’, so your child can do without them if necessary. Just make sure your child has good quality athletic shoes with good tread and closed toes. ‘Quality’ and ‘athletic’ are the key words here.

Now that your soccer player is suited up properly, it’s time to buy the game equipment. Every soccer player should at least have their own ball, or even several of them. Your coach will tell you what size ball is appropriate for your child’s age. It’s also important that they practice on the same size ball they will be using in games. This is the most basic soccer equipment, as well as the most necessary.

Many people find that having a practice goal is helpful for additional training. This gives the soccer player the opportunity to practice making goals at home, away from the pressure and crowding of practice. A 6′ by 12′ goal should be enough. Not only are goals good for practicing actually kicking goals, they also provide a good size object to practice dribbling around.

Then there are the less necessary but still beneficial accessories. If your child spends a lot of time going to and from practice, having a soccer equipment bag makes good sense. Soccer cones can also be a great item to buy because they allow the soccer player to imitate the drills they see in practice while at home. There are a huge range of devices on the market, but the key is to choose those that allow the soccer player to practice skills they will be using in game play. A few cones, a goal, and of course a ball should be enough for this.

Soccer doesn’t require a huge investment the way other sports may, but it is a vigorous and rough sport that requires good quality. Don’t fall into the trap of buying poorly made equipment, or you will find yourself replacing it again and again. Good soccer equipment is an investment in your player’s future in the sport.

Soccer Shoes and Cleats For Youth

Posted under turf soccer shoes

Many of us know our young soccer players’ feet grow quickly. This makes outfitting the family (kiddies, teens and grown-up kids) with new soccer shoes-a bit expensive. We are not just talking once a year, but it many cases every season (Fall to Indoor to Spring to Fall).

I strongly suggest parents refuse to buy into the brand name marketing trap-our kids must have the most expensive soccer cleats available. After all, you’re paying the extra costs of the big name companies to private label and market their brands. Do you really think they are manufacturing their own shoes? Come on, it’s a global economy and I’m telling you they are all having their soccer shoes made by sweatshops in India and China.

In addition, parents should understand they will never get the value out of an expensive soccer shoe in a single season. Don’t worry Moms and Dads; there is another alternative for your younger players. Look for alternate brands other than the big name ones!!! There are plenty of attractive, affordable soccer shoes for young players-these soccer cleats are just not mass marketed!!! And for $19-$22, you can buy brand new soccer shoes for your rapidly growing soccer player-without breaking the bank.

For the teen recreational/select and occasional adult players, consider the newest styles of soccer shoes by Vizari. These soccer cleats are designed for players at the intermediate level in adult sizes only. We also offer high-end soccer shoes for adult players. Select level players choose the “Copa Select” or “Vanguish” soccer cleats. Soccer shoes are made with soft luxurious full grain leather-for serious soccer players in adult sizes only.

Soccer enthusiasts who choose to play indoors or on synthetic surfaces also have affordable options. If you’re playing indoors, it’s a good idea to purchase a pair of indoor soccer shoes. Often, you can use molded cleats on the turf at many indoor facilities, but to prevent injuries and for the health of your feet; it’s wise to buy a pair of flat-soled soccer shoes to use when playing indoor.

Shop carefully for your next pair of soccer shoes and soccer cleats for synthetic turf–there are more affordable prices! You know you want–or need a pair–you’re just a few clicks away from having the right soccer shoes for your turf.

Soccer Footwear – Wearing the Right Football Boot

Posted under soccer turf shoes

There are a huge number of football boots on the market these days and deciding which ones to buy can be a daunting task. Many people make the mistake of assuming that all boots are alike when that is definitely not the case. The playing surface, weather conditions, level of comfort and the position you play should all be taken into consideration when deciding on your soccer footwear.

Wearing the right football boot is essential as this allows you to concentrate on your performance safe in the knowledge that your soccer footwear will not let you down when you need it most. An expensive pair of football boots with state of the art design will enable you to make the most of your skills although they will not make you a better player overnight.

The surface that you are going to be playing on should have a huge bearing on choosing the suitability of your footwear. For example if you are playing on a wet pitch or a surface that has medium length grass then you should avoid boots that have blades or cleats. Hard pitches where the grass has worn away can also be problematic. Short studs and cleats are the best option for this kind of surface. Blades should be avoided as they would quickly be worn down on the areas where no grass is present.

Artificial playing surfaces such as Astroturf require footwear with cleats or short blades. Boots that have long blades could cause serious injury when running, twisting or turning sharply. This is because the long blades have a tendency to stick in the surface resulting in varying degrees of damage to both the ankle and knee areas when you move.

Another factor that should be considered when choosing new football boots is the position that you play. Strikers and wingers usually prefer a lightweight shoe that will let them accelerate quickly and in some cases this means using blades. For a long time the famous Predator boot by Adidas was popular among midfielders especially those who shoot from distance. For defenders, a good grip is important and this is the main attribute they will look for when choosing their footwear.

An important consideration when buying football boots is the level of comfort they provide you with. Many boots come in a wider fitting to cater for those with bigger sized feet. It is important to remember that you will be wearing them for 90 minutes so the soccer footwear needs to be a good fit and be comfortable to wear for long periods. This advice should ensure that you are wearing the right football boot in relation to your needs.

Posted under soccer turf shoes
